Mapping a Drive under 7
Follow the instructions for Windows Vista.
Note: using Add a network location to add a WebDAV share does not seem to work on Windows 7, unlike under Vista and XP - the address is always deemed to be invalid on Windows 7. You need to add the share as a network drive (above) instead.
Upload your files
There are two ways you can upload your files after a drive has been mapped to your school scoilnet hosting area.
- Publishing or exporting directly via your webdesign package such as WebsiteX5 or Dreamweaver. Where it asks for the destination directory, select the drive letter and school1.scoilnet.ie, e.g. x:\school1.scoilnet.ie. Your folder will have your Online Name instead of school1.
- By copying your website files directly, example.
